Kylie and Brent’s vintage-inspired day is giving us life this Monday, friends. We’ve got pics of bright blooms, velvet couches and bloody brilliant braids coming out of our ears and we ain’t mad about it. There is a golden cake (Stacey Brewer Cakes FYI), a lacey dress courtesy of Love Marie Bridal Boutique and a swathe of happy snaps, the product of lens-dude Gui Jorge. So whatcha waiting for?! THE VIBE “We knew exactly what we wanted for our wedding before we even got engaged. We wanted a party and for everyone to be there for love and happiness. We wanted good wine, yummy food and lots of dancing. We love to socialise and to enjoy our friends and our lifestyle as often as we can. We wanted everyone to be relaxed and comfy, not have to change venues, to just have a great time and indulge. Originally I was planning for everyone to mainly be inside after the ceremony but it was such a mild Autumn night, everyone was spilling outside and enjoying the atmosphere around the food truck. Inside became a big dancefloor and the fairy lights made great mood lighting. It just turned out perfect.”
FAVOURITE DETAILS “I was so impressed by our flowers [Lime Tree Bower]. As it was an empty venue that we had to fill, I was unsure how much was needed and I wouldn’t get to personally see it come together on the wedding morning but I was instantly ecstatic when I walked into the venue. The colours and the style were amazing and everybody commented. They just looked too pretty and perfect. Also, our cake [Stacy Brewer Cakes] was delicious and looked great sitting on the wine barrel surrounded by flowers.”
THE DRESS “My dress was from a gorgeous boutique in Camden. I’d been following the owner on Instagram for a while after talking to a friend and describing the style I was looking for. Amy at Love Marie has such a great selection of dresses, it was hard to decide! I think all up I went to three stores and tried on about 7 dresses. As soon as I tried my one, I felt special and excited! I didn’t want a veil originally but once it was in my hair I loved the look even more.”
LITTLE LOL “Brentt’s dad enjoyed the party a little too quickly and no one could understand a word of his speech!”
A WORD OF ADVICE “Be prepared for the expenses in the few weeks leading up to finalise payments!”
STANDOUT VENDOR “Our event planner Kate [The Bluebird Collective] was an unbelievable help. She went above and beyond to make everything perfect and run smoothly, especially knowing I was getting ready and not being able to help set up. She was also a massive help the following day when we had to clean up the venue hungover!”
