IRON GATE ESTATE, HUNTER VALLEY

Set among the vineyards of Pokolbin, Elsie and Tom’s 120-guest wedding was designed to feel completely at home within its Hunter Valley setting.

Working with the Mediterranean-inspired character of Iron Gate Estate, we created a refined wedding design that complemented the architecture, vineyard landscape and outdoor setting.

As the first wedding held at the estate, every element needed to be planned from the ground up. We brought in all the furniture and created two layout plans—one for the outdoor reception and another for the marquee held on standby in case of bad weather.

The ceremony was held in the gardens of Iron Gate Villa before guests moved to the winery for cocktail hour, followed by a seated, feasting-style dinner at long tables lit by fairy lights. The beautiful food and warm, attentive service from the Iron Gate Estate team were an important part of the experience.

The Bluebird Collective provided wedding design, styling and on-the-day coordination, bringing each part of the celebration together to create a day that felt elegant, considered and connected to its setting.

Kate made the entire process leading up to our wedding so easy that we genuinely got to enjoy the planning stage rather than worrying and stressing about it. From day one, she was able to nail the brief and helped bring together incredible vendors and style for our special day.

On the day, she was a star—the entire day was perfect, and we had so many comments about how well everything flowed and how incredibly put together and beautiful it was.

We were the first wedding at Iron Gate Estate, and Kate was able to navigate everything with them seamlessly. I know our day would not have been anywhere near as amazing without her. I cannot recommend The Bluebird Collective enough!
